Verizon slows down expansion of its FiOS fiber network
If you live in Baltimore City or Boston and are waiting for Verizon FIOS to come to your street, you are out of luck. Verizon has announced plans to substantially scale back it’s rollout.
The cost of replacing installed copper with fiber-optic is too expensive to continue, so they are focusing on areas that they already have franchises to provide television service.
